This is about the manner by which many tech firms introduce advancing technologies and new products to the world; crossing over from demonstrating and selling product value to assigning predictions that innovations will fulfill new social values in the future. More than ever before, ideas associated with technology have turned to ideologies; this is where the new prophets are beginning to speak up with greater volume and force; no longer predictive in nature but stating behavioral absolutes. At the core of human nature we create and innovate - this book is pro-innovation. To argue otherwise would be to deny our humanity. There is one type of data the prophetic backbone needs to thrive: human biologic data such as health, genetic and neurologic. Once they have these data to control behaviors, we may be cast into a world structured, oppressive and manipulated in ways no society has ever experienced.
[excerpts] The imperative in the corporate world is to project a necessary contribution to the Sharing Economy using products stamped with a "Seal of Approval" for advancing universal data integration of personal information.
The corporate perception of genomes is presuming vastly improved human intelligence that will produce far-advanced products able to fulfill the new “ethos of inevitability”. When applying neuroscience to justify genetic quality in DNA data correlating to entrepreneurial traits, wealth creators, disruptive technology inventors, emotional intelligence of leaders and a whole host of progressive cultural definitions - business is instilling a biological correlation to otherwise learned employee skills and experience.
Human Bio-Data is becoming the new technology backbone – literally, the human nervous system that will be analyzed for driving research and development leading to profitable neural-sensory products. The brain is the most accessible, most mysterious and most inspiring organ of the body – one that all scientific disciplines are seeking to replicate in some fashion, notably, through artificial intelligence and cognitive computing.
Key is the underlying ideology that all new innovation and future technologies comprise the only road by which we can build solutions into a troubled world. This exclusivity being the presumption of tech elitists infers that only technology businesses can solve our greatest societal issues.
[disruptive innovation] My point is that, to say a specific technology is disruptive over and over and over means that the company is disrupting itself. It is disrupting its own need to be a good business partner among many, to accept the rate of adoption leading to successful outcomes by users and customers relying on the virtues of the product or system. C-level executives don’t want their workforces to be in perpetual disruption state.
